Does anybody know who the speaker will be at the next meeting?

Default That may be so

But, I do not have my newsletter yet, and there may be people that want to go to the meeting and are not members yet and also want to know who the speaker is as well. Is there any reason that it can not be posted?

Default I usually post speaker in the events section

I do not know who is speaking this meeting (November) and December typically is the Christmas party with prizes for the favorite animal. I heard that this year there may be prizes for the picture(s) of your favorite herp so that people don't have to brave the elements with the animal(s) in question.
I kind of like that idea. We could even post the winner(s) on this site!

Default November Speaker

Actually I searched my Desert Monitor Newsletter in vain to find the name of the speaker that I provided to the editor. We seem to have an accidental ommision.

Our speaker will be Miriam Carranza the Lead Cruelty Investigator for the Arizona Animal Welfare League. I met this wonderful, commited lady after an incident were someone recently, annomously, turned me in on charges of animal cruelty. This kind of action has happened to me before and it seems to based on petty jelousy and/or ignorance.
Mirriam will explain to us how to define cruelty to animals and how to do something meaningful to prevent it from continuing. Merriam set up Sheriff Joe's animal cruelty department but now is an investigator in the private sector were she may be more effective in protecting reptiles and other species not in the public venue.

Default Speaker in the newsletter

My newsletter did come yesterday afternoon and there were 2 copies, one did not have the speaker on it and the other one did. But as I posted above I think it is still a good idea to post on the site so non-members can decide if they want to go or not also. This has not been done in several months and I think that may be one of the reasons for the low attendance at the last meeting.

Default The reason you received

two is because one was the delayed Oct n/l and the other the ontime and uptodate November issue. Don't be fooled by the fact that they both say Nov Edition. The October one says October on the back. There are subtle differences.
