Looked like a good chance of rain, and herps on Monday, headed west with kids in tow. it only sprinkled where we went, but poured just down the road.

found this 3' atrox who would hide it's head in it's coils like a ground python, and never buzzed at all.

Then we came across this very cooperative scute, who sat quite still for a mohave and posed quite well!

Got some practice and did Better than the past month of getting skunked.

Went out again the next day. The clouds looked very promising, but it sprinkled even less than the day before.

Did come across this little cerastes, it sat still for some time.

Daughter Sonia getting a shot

one's better than none.

The clouds didn't produce any rain, but they sure made for a beautiful sunset.

I love the saguaro with the clouds behind them, and the scute shots are great too. Well done!

That Scute pic reared-up is my favorite, beautiful snake and great angle. That is to me one of the prettiest atrox I've seen a picture of.
