AZ Herping Soon!

OK, Hopefully I will be coming to AZ the afternoon of July 23 for cross training. Orders are being prepared, flight reservations are made. I hope to attend the AHA meeting on Tuesday! First one since 1970!

No reservations yet, but I expect to stay near the airport. Gotta get out of the room Friday AM or I will be paying instead of my employer. I expect to be available to herp with anyone willing to put up with me every evening during the week (except during the AHA meeting) and all weekend starting Thursday evening through Sunday night. I might even be persuaded to help out with the gas! I just need to be at the airport before 5:30 on Monday morning. I am a backpacker so if someone wants to, I can do that, or mountain biking (you cover lots more ground than hiking and see almost as much) if you have a spare bike. (a week and a half ago I completed a duathlon run2/bike10/run2 miles in 1:01:26, so I can keep up with most.) I am really a flexible person, easy to get along with & can do whatever is needed to help out. I like to "carry my own weight." I don't hear as well as I once did, but my eyes are still better than average once you get about 3 feet away, so I usually see stuff instead of hear it. I started herping at age 11 in Mojave, CA and have worked a few summers as a field research assistant with a now notable Ecologist, Dr. Pianka (U of TX, Austin).
