Slightly edited for content:

In return for the use of the Phoenix Zoo's auditorium and adjacent bathrooms
for the monthly meeting of the Arizona Herpetological Association for one 4-hour evening block on the 4th Tuesday of each month, AHA agrees to host an exhibit booth or tent on the Zoo's campus. The location of the AHA exhibit
will be determined by the Zoo and the exhibit will consist of themes,
artifacts or live animals that are mutually agreeable to both organizations.

The following conditions apply to memorandum of understanding:

* Members of AHA agree to abide by the Zoo's outside animal policy. Any live animals brought onto the Zoo's campus must be transported and displayed in appropriate containers that provide a high degree of security against escapes. Animals may only be removed from their containers within
the designated live animal area of the auditorium. Small fast animals should not be removed from their containers at any time. Only non-venomous reptiles and amphibians may be brought on campus for the AHA monthly
meeting.

* Members of AHA agree to comply with Arizona Game and Fish
Department's regulations for live animals or animal artifacts brought onto the Zoo grounds.

* Members of AHA agree to conduct themselves according to applicable local, state and federal statutes while on the campus.

* Members of AHA agree to abide by the Zoo's smoking policy. Smoking is allowed only in designated areas.

* Members of AHA agree to limit their use of the campus to public spaces unless authorized and accompanied by a Zoo staff member. Anyone found outside of this designated area will be considered to be trespassing and AHA will be considered to be in violation of the MOU.

* Either party may discontinue this agreement at anytime by notifying the other party in writing. The Zoo will notify AHA no later than 21 calendar days prior to the date of termination of the MOU unless members of AHA have violated the terms. If members of AHA have not followed the terms of this MOU, the Zoo may terminate access to its campus for AHA functions
immediately.

"Only non-venomous reptiles and amphibians may be brought on campus for the AHA monthly meeting."

What about the exhibit? In the past we have brought rattlers and Gila Monsters to exhibit. Is that still going to be allowed/encouraged as in the past?

When are they thinking for the exhibit? The last time they had such a show was three years ago and they had a tent cover which was placed so that the sun hit the animals as it moved. Whom do we contact about this from the Zoo?

Just when did this memo go around? I believe the zoo has had somewhat over 150 hours of educational-volunteer/pointer-chatter time from AHA over the last 12 months. Where does that figure in?

I also wonder whether this "exhibit booth or tent on the Zoo's campus" is to be something static or something staffed by AHA personnel.

in the past, the display has been staffed by AHA members who were there to answer the questions of the visitors. We also brought our own animals. One year, the zoo provided the animals and they were very ordinary.
