There is a new version of Mozilla Firefox out; for people who use it, I recommend downloading the updated software.

Mozilla Firefox is a web browser. It is similar to Internet Explorer, but it is not a different version of Internet Explorer; it is a different program entirely.

Internet Explorer has some security vulnerabilities, is not standards compliant and harbors a lot of adware and spyware. Internet Explorer is attacked because it is built into the operating system and hackers have the ability to do more damage or retrieve more information.

As a web developer and PC repair specialist, I believe that Mozilla Firefox is secure. It is also standards compliant and displays pages correctly. Mozilla Firefox does not harbor adware and spyware, except for certain cookies which can be controlled.

Mozilla Firefox is free. However, Internet Explorer is built into any Microsoft operating system and you cannot remove it. Personally, I abandoned Internet Explorer and started using Mozilla Firefox. I also installed a couple of programs to get rid of adware and spyware, and also to prevent them from being installed.

SpyBot - Search & Destroy:

SpywareBlaster:

I have absolutely no idea. Maybe the wires connecting the speakers are loose? Maybe the control for the volume is damaged?

The feature I enjoy the most is no more pop-ups.

That is the second reason why I switched; the first was correct display of content so I could check websites in the making...

just so you know, simply changing to mozilla will not get rid of any spyware you may have already had on your computer. two 'must-have' programs for PCs are spybot: serach and destroy and ad-aware. they are both free and they work great.

I've tried both SpyBot - Search & Destroy and Ad-Aware; used in conjunction with each other, they virtually rid your computer of spyware and adware.

Ad-Aware has a free version, but the professional version costs $40.00. SpyBot - Search & Destroy is free, but donations are welcome (http://www.safer-networking.org/).

Try a little spray of electronics cleaner or wd-40 in the volume knob. Sometimes that will take care of it.
