I'm really considering getting one or two Indian Stars. If anyone has any "tips" or anything that might benefit the tortoises, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

weeeell... I have radiated torts, which are fairly similar. They like regular soaking in shallow water, and boy can they eat! Their primary diet is a salad mix wich I always dust with a calcium powder. They don't recommend meat or lots of fruit for these guys, but they do need long fibered grasses. Mine get alphalpha, timothy, and they also browse regular grass (some kind of bermuda) that grows in their yard. oh yes... yard... they like lots and lots of sunshine, but its a bit on the hot side for them, so make sure shade and that water dish are accessible at all times. Good luck!

LOL... you just need a job like me, where you get paid to keep herps! I've been looking some stuff up on stars, you might try google-ing on them. They do inhabit tall grasslands like my radiateds, but also range into jungle and forest areas, so I'm guessing humidity tolerances are probably higher.
Laters,

FYI, you can buy Bermuda Hay Bails along with the Timothy and Alphalpha.
