Just a quick question. I'm trying to find if there is a custom cage builder in AZ that is good? I used to have these wood cages that had a glass front, built in light on the lid and then when you closed the lid, you could put a peg through a hole to where the lid could not be lifted.
My wife has pretty much consented to me getting a kingsnake but she's kinda paranoid about it getting out. We have a 6 year old (curious) and an 11 month old and a dog.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks alot.

What size cage do you need built? I may be able to help you out.

Necoris may just be able to help you out just as stated. Some other folks here and there seem to do it, but does not seem to be a big market in AZ for custom cages. Most folks who do have them make them on their own as well.

You could really please your wife and go with a furniture quality cage.
Sharrack http://www.artisticdecor.net would be the guy to talk to.
As much as I like my functional cages, I can't wait to get the money to have something more eye pleasing to keep my critters in.

I'm looking for a wood cage 24 in wide, 18 deep, and 18 high. Glass or plexiglass (suggestions are taken) with a lamp attached to the lid, air vents with steel mesh (like chicken wire) - one on each side, and the ability to lock the lid down with a wooden peg.
I hope that makes sense to all.

Herp enclosures range in price depending on the needs of the herp in question.
I've built all sorts of crazy requests including fold up units,
coffee table units with glass tops with side tables for scorpions and
box units with all sorts of options.
Ever see that guy who builds enclosures from steel?????
With poison dart frogs and gecko's in them?
I'll build anything but funding usually gets in the way.
Its hard to build custom anythings on a tight budget.
Here's a few cool items as of late:
I shot these pic's at my local atrox hot spot.
A place where you can almost trip over them in the spring...

The finish is a translucent candy apple red over bare steel with a grind swirl finish.
