male was often coiled around her as if he knew his additional mass would help maintain temperature.

one was stillborn. Two broke their sacks, crawled around a bit and died. I don't know why. It was the females first brood. Three a currently healthy and living with new families.

this is the breeding cage. Since my room is small, and specks reproduce every other year I alternate the orange and the blue specks in the same breeding cage each year. This year it is the orange specks turn. Each individual snake also has it's own box in my rack system that it is just as comfortable with as the breeding cage(if not more so). I usually separate one of the snakes (whichever is the easiest to reach) to it's box at feeding time or when I need to clean.

in his box for feeding. No water in the dish as he will only be here overnight and then placed back with his female.
