Hybrids

This might be alittle strange, but please work with me on this.


I was wondering,

Has anybody ever done this,

1) Crossed burmese with retic to get BURMESExRETIC hybrids
2) Crossed burmese with rock to get BURMESExROCK hybrids
3) Crossed rock with retic to get ROCKxRETIC hybrids
4) Crossed BURMESExRETIC with BURMESExROCK to get whatever
5) Crossed ROCKxRETIC with BURMESExROCK to get whatever
6) Crossed ROCKxRETIC with BURMESExRETIC to get whatever
7) Crossed #4 whatever with #5 whatever to get something
8) Crossed #5 whatever.....Anyways, you can see were im going with this. Has anybody ever just kept crossing hybrids into different hybrids to get some kind of other hybrid?

A Burmese X Retic cross is called a Bateater. From what I understand, it's not easy to get them to breed so they run about $2000 if you can find them.

Bob Clark has bred Bateaters and Burmese/Rock crosses. I've never seen or heard of Retic/Rock crosses though.
