Whenever my wife brings up the subject of offspring, I always refer to her as "wanting to be gravid"...works quite well.
No kids yet. hehe....

take it as well. Even live-bearing snakes are grown essentially in an egg as well. Just look at it as a thin membrane egg shell. It may not be the quintessential egg as we may think of one, but still funtions in the same basic terms. Eggs that are passed out thicker and harder are funtioning to protect the growing specimen while out of the mother.

But then again, live-bearing is a fit name due to the nature of how we see a result of live snakes ready to take on the world at just the time of birth. But they still have in effect grown in the same manner as the others.

Well said Cmpyrrhus,i was thinking the same thing as i started to read this post,nothing gravid for me this season but wait until next year:D
