What if all the offspring are albino striped?
You answered your own question by stating that you were going to breed a wc NATIVE snake. You can not buy, sell, barter or trade ANY native animals no matter what they look like. Read the Regs, they have been posted on here many times.

In personal communications with members of the Tucson Herp Society in the early 80's, the AGF said that albinos would be exempted for obvious reasons. They also said that 3rd generation offspring from native AZ reptiles would be legal to sell, but I never got a answer as to how one would document that your hatchlings are 3rd generation. I suppose good breeding documentation would suffice. Maybe things have changed since then?

If your herp has come from AZ, your best bet is to plan on gifting out those snakes and any offspring, IMO. There are plenty of other 'exotic' herps available to breed and sell. I am one to not agree with all of AZ Laws pertaining to AZ wildlife, but we still must obey by them to do us any good. I do feel that this law is actually not as much of a burden as it seems..although a pain in some way, as we know there are legitamit (sp?) folks out there.

So was anyone able to find out if the laws that Kevin talked about are still in effect?

One thing I remember about the AGF during my research years was that you would get different answers from different people in the dept. regarding non-game laws, so just be careful and try to get it in writing if possible.

ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS REMEMBER THIS AND MAKE IT YOUR MOTO!!!!! IN EVERYTHING YOU DO, "CYA". ALSO, UNLESS YOU GET IT STRAIGHT FROM THE REPTILES MOUTH (HA,HA). YOU MAY GET SEVERAL DIFFERENT VERSIONS. DO YOUR HOMEWORK AND DOCUMENT. WITH NATIVE STUFF ITS SO TOUCHY, IT STILL MAY BE MORE TROUBLE THAN ITS WORTH. CONSIDERING WHAT IT COULD COST YOU, YOUR WHOLE COLLECTION AND THEN SOME. THIS IS JUST MY OPINION THOUGH, YOU WILL HAVE TO WEIGH IT OUT FOR YOURSELF.:Think
