Cool pictures that sure is a healthy looking garter. How big is your pond? Is that the only snake that visits it?

Yes that garter is a healthy one - I keep the pond well stocked with feeder fish and minnows, so he and his friends are well fed. There are about 3-4 garters that visit my pond every year when it warms up - one of them, the biggest one, is blind in one eye from some past injury, so we like to call him scarface:). I'll post some pics of him later.
Not sure exactly how big the pond is, I bought the hard plastic lining at Home Depot. Probably about 5 ft long, 3 ft wide, 2.5-3ft deep. Seems like a great habitat for garters, fish, waterbugs, and all the neat little microcritters.
