Today is Thursday, also known as my payday. Since all my bills are paid and I work 50+ hours a week, I got me a new toy/ herp gear/ slurge excuse. Found a few new cameras I was gonna get, but found a Power Shot A60 "On ClearAnce." Only $30 more than the cheaper model, so I fugured what the heck....
Anyhow, these were my first pictures. I pulled off the highway and into Watson Lake to get some pics before I went home.
One shot of the lake...

Nice place to picnic up in Prescott not too far from downtown and the old VA hospital. The water levels over the past few years have gone down at an incredible rate especially with all the new housing going up in the area. Definitely still worth a visit however.:D

The rocky Background is part of the Prescott Dells...
This is my place to go look for Wandering garters, Whipsnakes and Whiptails when I cannot get out of town. My first sightings for snakes, except this year, are usually here or within the Prescott Dells. Masticophis are almost always my first snake sightings of the year. Thamnophis second.
I may go after work and poke around for some tomorrow. It was actually why I went there, as it is about 2 miles from home and on the way. I only had but 15 minutes to get some quick shots and I knew the lizards are plentiful here, as well as city folks looking for a view....
I have plans for this weekend with my new lil' unit. Should be fun.

Watson is one of my favorite places to spend the day. I like to boulder back behind the dam - there's some pretty tricky spots back there. Always find tons of those little lizards everywhere, and just north of there you can find blacktails!
Anywho, great pics! Thanks for sharing, and I look forward to seeing more :).
