More time wandering, and another almost giant leap when what shoud I see right where I wanted to step but this little guy.

Unlike the gopher who sat calmly thru numerous photos this fella was having none of it and beat a hasty retreat into some brush.

So far it has been a productive day, so how to top it off?? Why with a rosy of course.

This was special to me. Considering all the years I have been herping this is my first wild rosy, so yes I was a little jazzed.

The only lizard of the day was this spiney which not let me get esp close.

Most of the plants were fairly routine, however this one has me totally baffled. I hve never seen it before and to top it off it apparently has two flower color forms growing side by side. Any ideas Jerry???

Great Photos.....Do you mind telling me what type of camera you are using? I have been looking to pick one up, and it looks like you can really get in on them while keeping a nice steady picture. Very nicely done.

Pa, I'm using a sony DSCF707, i love the thing. It takes great pictures, my only complaint is that it is a rather large camera, sometimes a hassle but well worth it. Since it has been replaced now by two upgrades, you can its immediate upgrade the 717 for between 5 and 700.00 dollars.

Gordon, I just looked them up on the net. You're right, it looks like an awkward camera to lug around. When you can take shots like that though, it would be hard to complain. I'll definately be looking into one. Thanks!
