Mike, Your close up of a CA king is outstanding. One of the nastiest Snakes I have encountered was an irate gopher snake that struck at anything within his full 5 ft body lenght. Bunch of kids and two dogs had pushed it to the limit

This western Diamondback came from one of the houses shown in a post yesterday. Almost a twin to the other one yesterday. Took this picture on the wrong side. Had to fiddle with the picture and didnt do a real good job
