View Full Version : Forum security and not being able to post
We have received numerous emails regarding users not being able to post/read threads without logging in every time. Your browser must allow "cookies" - unique identifiers - to enable these functions. Please adjust your security levels if you wish to participate. In Windows XP click "Tools", "Internet options", and "privacy" to allow access. Hit "advanced" if wish to have prompts before accepting 3rd party cookies.
It is a precaution necessary because of a few bad apples and to maintain the integrity of the forums.
Those of you on Cox internet that are having problems - send me a PM. There is an easy fix for that too.
Thanks to Dustin for these:
Again thanks to Dustin:
Click on the "edit" button
Step 3
Add either http://www.azreptiles.com or http://www.sloanmonster.com (our host).
Oh, by the way, this allows cookies of this site, without decreasing the security settings which keeps your computer a little more safe...

I believe it has to be "http://www.sloanmonster.com/" only because I've tried "http://www.azreptiles.com/" and it still wouldn't let me post.

..regarding web sites. I had to put in "http://www.sloanmonster.com/" myself to allow cookies with my security on high. Windows will only allow this option from the second highest setting on down though, just for those who may be changing their settings after this. The highest security setting will not allow any cookies, regardless if you want to edit a few allowed web sites. I do recommend that folks edit your internet security this way. Save yourself from some future headaches.

Edited by moderator to make sense after cleaning up some off topic posts and to keep this tutorial short and sweet
For Mozilla users:
Click:
Tools -->
Options
Click on the privacy tab.
Click on the "+" to expand the cookies section (if the "+" is a "-" it is already expanded).
Click the "Exceptions..." button.
Type in: http://www.sloanmonster.com/
Click allow.
Exit and everything should work fine. Let me know if you have any other problems.
