I headed out for an atrox pick up and found 2 16" gophers and a 36 inch atrox on my way back. Kenny S>
Yes i went out yesterday for a early evening cruise. Atrox,Mojaves,Tigers,Kings, and Gophers are still out. I also found myself a little hatchling Coachwhip, ive been looking all year for one, and was very happy to find a neonate, last night he had what appeared to be his first shed. the little ones are just as aggressive, as the big ones, but luckily not big enough to draw blood as i was trying to chase him around on the highway. Fast little bugger

i was out yesterday morning and found a 2 foot diamondback. it had a good temperment until i brought it home and put it in a cage.
Isnt this what you posted a week or so ago?
"I have a good home for unwanted snakes that need some TLC. I have lots of room and the time to take care of them. Please no venomous snakes, dont have much experience with those. I have in my collection one burmese python, two kingsnakes, one bullsnake, one sand boa, and a patch nosed.
I also raise rabbits and coming soon mice."
I dont mean to pick on you, but i hope you were kidding about the atrox in a cage. I would hate to hear about you getting tagged.

Thinking of young Micah here scrambling after a neo coachwhip on the blacktop! hahaha!
On a more serious note to you teenage herpers...Get real! Rattlesnakes are cool, but they can also kill or maim ya! Then of course, if there is an incident, the media jumps on the bandwagon and villifies all reptile keepers! Do the world a favor and just take pictures of them...It's better that way!

I'm only 18 and I keep rattlesnakes; however, I was raised around venomous reptiles my entire life. I'd recommend not keeping hots unless you know what you are doing.

Yes it sounds like you are familiar with them, but a week ago he wanted nothing venomous because of his experience. Also being 16, im sure he lives wih his parents, wonder who pays the medical bills?

just because im only 16 and dont have much experience, doesnt mean i dont have people showing me how to catch them and keep them. My dad has kept rattlesnakes since before i was born, he is now teaching me about them. the rattlesnake i found the other day was the first one i have ever caught and yes i have a hunting license and so does my dad. i dont know why you guys have to be so negative to a kid who is wanting to learn more about rattlesnakes, i thought you guys were all for teaching the public about snakes.

haha. I just love an opportunity to say that.
What I teach kids is to respect and appreciate reptiles, I stoke their curiosity...But I also suggest they leave rattlesnakes alone. Most people get bit because they choose to interact with them...The odds go way up!
If I didn't care one iota about ya, I wouldn't have bothered to challenge your choice of captive reptile.
