Part of the equitment that has arrived is a Sony remote commander. I can stick the Sony 707 on a monopod, attach the remote and put the camera right into his face for a picture at full resultion and crop for a good close up.

Very nice John. Great shot of that mojave. That's one thing I need to try once in a while is using a tripod for closeups. Seems it gets the job done. Macro is such a cool function.

Wonderful shot of the newborn. Is that a speck or tiger, I cant see the tail. I wish you could see my set up for dangerous snakes/insects. Havent worked all the bugs out yet, but it is coming along well.Have lot to learn yet

It's a newborn speckled. Here's a pretty adult.

Nothing short of excellent pictures. Have been working to get some "snake eye" pictures, but the wild ones are touchy about a camera an inch from their eye. My guest for this evening cancelled out so I will stay home and will do some cropping and enhancement in the digital darkroom.

Thanks Donna, Brendan is starting to post some very good DOF pictures. Hopefully pictures will become more common in this forum. If you are in the field much, you will see this guy looking at you.
