If they were the 72" I bet Diego would jump on them !!!

Now why would Diego want a pair of tongs that were twice as tall as he is ?

not even for $5.00. There are so much better tongs on the market and available in BRAND NEW condition through AHA ( Contact Cenobite for tongs and hooks).
Whitney Tongs, mfd by Whitco, are arguably, the best tongs made:
http://www.whitneysnaketongs.com/

Midwest Tongs are quite good and they have a wide variety of sizes and types as well as snake hooks: http://www.tongs.com/

The tongs shown are hard to control and are what is considered "ancient technology" in the field of snake handling equipment. There is a very real possibility of doing permanent damage to a snake with the tongs shown.

(Sorry Rick and Diego. Those are my feelings.) :a1451: :a1451:

those kind of look like Midwest tongs to me without the pretty blue anodizing.

Yes, but they appear to be the exact same design as the Midwest standard style. Either kind can injure a snake if used improperly.
You sure get :dizzy: easily :Nana

Hey Jerry...
The tongs in the picture ARE made by Midwest tongs. :173go1:

Whenever the topic comes up, you always bring up whitney tongs. How are they any better than the standard Midwest tongs. How are they safer for the snake ?
You can cause serious damage to a snake using any pair of tongs so why would you get on here and bash my thread ?
Please let us know what makes Whitney tongs so much safer than the Midwest standard tongs.

One thing you are correct on is this- you can buy a brand new set of tongs from tongs.com for only $59.95.

I guess a positive note Rick is that your thread is staying at the top. If they were the inferior Hillbilly Pillstrom tongs they cost more, so $25 is a screaming deal.
According to their site you will " catch more snakes" can be used for animal control, cathin frogs and BBQ tongs. Only in Arkansas-LOL

Dude that is awesome ! I think I'll keep them and use them to catch frogs.
I had never thought about using them to flip ribs on my barbecue either !

I gotta' go- I think I hear a raccoon outside in the backyard. I think I'll grab my tongs and go catch it !
