I really hate to post this guy for sale. We purchased him a few months ago, he has nearly tripled in size. He is a ton of work, needs to be held a couple times a week and needs his water soaking tub changed EVERY day.

He is very alert and hungry all the time. He almost seems intelligent anytime I walk into the room he comes running up to the cage, possibly for food?

He or she is not aggressive but flighty when first picked up but settles down and will just chill after holding him for a couple of minutes. I trimmed his toe nails a couple weeks ago and he tolerated it quite well.

Keep in mind that this lizard has the potential to reach 6' and up to 75lbs and needs a room sized enclosure when full grown. He needs his water tub changed EVERY day, he eats A LOT and defecates and urinates daily. He will consume as much food as you want to feed him. I give him 3-4 rat pinkies or 1 medium mouse every few days, about once a week he gets a couple dozen crickets, he also gets a few tablespoons of raw ground turkey weekly!!! He will eat as much as you dare feed him. Keep him hot and feed him a lot, if you want a monster fast!!

He must go to an approved adult home. He will come in a cage 48x24x24 it has flourescent fixture in the cage, a flood lamp in a ceramic heat dome on top of the cage, an A-Life thermostat and everything as seen in picture, it may be big enough for another year-LOL.

Water Monitors need a basking temp of at least 130 degrees a ambient of 85, temps should never drop below 80 degrees.

Please read http://www.proexotics.com/care_water.html for more info, if you think you can handle a beast like this $300 and you can possibly be the new owner. To a approved home only. If you do not want the cage we will sell him for $250 and you must have something ready for him.

He looks like PHS's "Rowdy". http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c198/katsnake/Bookmans2005/84e1.jpg
